This series is inspired by Isamu Noguchi’s 1986 sculpture, Slide Mantra. His lyrical sculpture functions as a slide with steps winding up the back which descend into a beautiful spiral.
The sculptural Slide Earrings explore spiraling shells and lily spathe forms. The recessed areas feature a striking dark patina that varies from blue/grey to black. The exterior has a subtle texture while the edges have a bright, high-polished finish. When the earrings move, the light dances between the contrasting textures. Each pair is unique and sure to get noticed.
